Dental health, is thought to be important
for high quality of life in an aging society!!
If you eat good food, your teeth can stay
healthy and strong.
Then, what are the foods which are good
for healthier teeth and easily found?
[Vegetables high in minerals]
Eating more vegetables that are high in
minerals like calcium, phosphorus, vitamins
helps keeping your teeth and gum
healthy. Calcium and phosphorus have
influence on the formation of bone and
teeth. Lacking them can lead to weaker
teeth or affect the teeth formation.
Especially for pregnant women and
mothers who didn’t get enough calcium,
their teeth would be wobbly.
Vitamins are essential nutrients the body
needs, so insufficient intake of vitamins
results in a bleeding gum and teeth loss.
Therefore, you need to eat a variety of
vegetables.
[Apple]
Apples contain a lot of fiber so eating an
apple with the skin is better.
The plenty of fiber of the flesh and
the skin helps remove plaque by rubbing
against the tooth surface while vitamins and
minerals strengthen the teeth.
[Cheese]
Alkaline foods like cheese, anchovy and
milk keep the teeth strong due to its
high calcium content. It prevents tooth
erosion caused by acid and provides
the environment bacteria and germs
can’t breed.
[Green tea]
Green tea or black tea which people enjoy
drinking contains tannin founded in green
vegetables and polyphenol.
These ingredients prevent plaque formation
and bad breath. However, if the tea
temperature is too hot, it can damage your
teeth therefore the optimum
temperature for the tea should be set.
[Onion]
Onions which are rich in quercetin and
allicin contain antibacterial so it can
prevent tooth decay due to its antibacteria
effect. However, in case of poor dental health,
the allicin will cause pain by stimulating
nerve cells and bad breath.

Eating smart is important for your teeth
as well as for your health.
