Safe and fast Immediate Dental Implant
in elderly people and diabetic patients
S-PLANT Dental Hospital
Dental implants usually take one year to
function normally after procedure.
A dental implant could be placed in
2~4 months to rebuild the jawbone in the
site after a tooth extraction and then
the surgical site would require an additional
3 to 4 months. Even after that,
it takes 1 to 2 months for abutment
placement with the crown on top.
This is why some people hesitate to get
dental implants.
However, Immediate Dental Implant can
lessen patient’s burden. With the dental
implant guide system which helps
to check proper location for implant
placement and with surgical simulation,
the risk of blood vessels and nerve
damage can be reduced within 5 mm
incision or without incision. Therefore,
even patients with chronic diseases can
recover quickly from dental implants and
reduce their burden. Dr. SOHN said,
“The surgical time cut by half because
a dental implant is placed into
the designated site along with a guide
system. It takes only 2 hours to complete
putting the crown on top after multi-implant
placement.
He added there are some concerns over
safety due to the short treatment time,
but the immediate placement can use
the undamaged supporting bone and
eliminate the need for bone grafting.
For the immediate dental implant,
an adequate quantity of bone should be
correctly evaluated therefore doctor’s
extensive skill and experience are necessary.
S-PLANT Dental Hospital has been the first
of Korea since we introduced Immediate
Dental Implant with 3D guide system in
2008. All medical staff who are in charge
of dental implant procedure have treated
successfully over 2,000 cases and hold PhD
degrees from Seoul National University.
